David Dring

The firm’s public affairs liaison, David’s opinions on government and politics are often sought out by members of the local and national media. David previously served as a press spokesman for former Illinois House Republican Leader Tom Cross and his caucus. He also served as the Director of Communications for the House Republican Organization. Before that, David worked for the Illinois Association of Health Plans as its Director of Communications, and was Deputy Press Secretary for former Lieutenant Governor Corinne Wood. 

He has been referred to as an “invaluable asset” to Cross and “the institution itself” by statehouse insider blog Capitol Fax.

David graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in political science. A resident of Bucktown, he grew up in far west suburban Yorkville.
